Gross national product (GNP)
No Comments Yet

Gross National Product (GNP) is a broad measure of a nation’s total economic activity. The figures used to assess GNP include the manufacturing of tangible goods and the provision of services. More commonly used in Europe than in the US (which uses GDP), the formula for GNP is:

Consumption + Government Expenditures + investments + Exports + Foreign Production by US Companies – Domestic Production by Foreign Companies = Gross National Product
